Intense ruby red colour. Elegant bouquet with noticeable but pleasant and polished tannins. A velvety, full mouth feel, with long-lasting finish.

Food pairing and serving temperature

Intense, bold and tannic, this elegant merlot pairs well with richly sauced dishes such as polenta with truffle ragout, red meats, game, great pecorinos and mature cheeses.

Serving temperature 18°C.

Production area and soil structure

Campagnatico (GR) – Toscana. Sandy-skeletal soil.

Spur-pruned (Cordon).

Harvest season and picking method

September / October. Manual picking into small boxes.

Wine-making process and ageing

Temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel vats. Aged in French Allier oak barriques and tonneaux (18 months).
