Organoleptic properties

Deep ruby with purple hues tending to violet. Round, soft and well-balanced, its bouquet is completed by pleasant aromas of cocoa, cinnamon, and licorice. Full mouth feel, with long-lasting finish.

Food pairing and serving temperature

An excellent pairing for roasted and braised red meats, lamb, duck, game, and cheeses. The best bottle for sharing with barbecue meats and grilled vegetables thanks to its intense fragrance and full roundness. Excellent with truffles. A great meditation wine.

Serving temperature 17° – 18°C.

Production area and soil structure

Campagnatico (GR) – Toscana. Sandy-skeletal soil.

Spur-pruned (Cordon).

Harvest season and picking method

September / October. Manual picking into small boxes.

Wine-making process and ageing

Temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel vats. Aged in French Allier oak barriques and tonneaux (18 months).
